Watch This...

Back in the day, Groove Theory's "Tell Me" was the kind of jam that immediately set hips to swaying and led many a young girl to wrongfully attempt hitting singer Amel Larrieux's high notes. When the track came out, I was a senior in high school and was boldly heading down the alterna-trail. But let this track come on...I was rolling my eyes back in "oh that's my song" rapture just like all the R&B heads.

I'm not so keen on Solange and her spotlight-thirsty ways, but she did right by Larrieux when she joined The Dirty Projectors in NYC for a set at Opening Ceremony's Fashion Week party.

Why the camera was so closely focused on her face — rather than including the band and vocalist, Amber Coffman — is puzzling. Nonetheless, this made me smile for four straight minutes...especially when Dave Longstreth steps in for the male duet (he lacks Bryce Wilson's looks, but makes up for it with soul!).
